Normally, makeup supporters check out Nars Cosmetics’s Instagram to look at the prettiest new launches and looks to try. But scroll through the brand’s most recent posts, and you’ll observe that commenters are speaking up about something else: the company’s decision to market in China. In the event you’re unfamiliar, China requires animal testing for several products – meaning brands that are looking to enter the marketplace must submit to the practice under rules and no much longer qualify as cruelty-free.
Given the frustrating backlash, Today and straight tackled its customers with an Instagram post Nars broke its silence. “We want one to know that people hear you,” the business wrote. “The global eradication of animal testing needs to happen. We solidly think that product and ingredient protection can be proven by non-animal methods, but we should comply with the local laws and regulations of the marketplaces where we operate, including in China.
We have decided to make NARS available in China because we feel it’s important to bring our vision of beauty and artistry to fans in the region. By the response, many supporters remain unsatisfied with this answer, given that the business is still moving forward with its initial decision.

“If you want a cruelty-free world, don’t do it, don’t sell in China,” composed Instagram user @vnocemakeup. “Make China change their laws and regulations and we can discuss global eradication of animal testing then.” Other comments echoed those sentiments, pointing out that the explanation didn’t seem sensible. While the brand is currently sticking with its intend to sell in China, it did add that it is seeking other ways to eliminate animal testing globally. “NARS is committed and attempting to advance option screening methods actively,” it had written. “We are happy to aid the Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS), a internationally recognized business at the forefront of improving non-animal methods in China and around the global world.
Updated Jul. 5, 1:40PM: Beauty expert and animal advocate Kat Von D just added her voice to the discussion within an Instagram post that’s quickly eliminated viral. Kat has been very vocal about the need for beauty brands to visit cruelty-free and she illustrated her point with a series of images on her feed. She added that the images weren’t meant just to shock or disturb customers, but to open their eyes to the consequences of animal screening and make them think twice about cleaning off Nars’s recent news. See her full post here (and take note, as she says, that the content is troubling).
I bought the product for my mom and the results were amazing. She started using this in her early forties and even till now, the product can still be effective on her behalf oily skin. WHILE I was in my past due forties and my epidermis began to become dry I found the L’Oreal Revitalift products, day cream, night cream and eyecream, very effective.
I love L’oreal Revitalift. I’ve used the day & night lotions plus the Revitalift for eye. Results are visible within 2 weeks but might take up to 4 – 6 weeks for maximum impact to take place. I’m only 19 years old but am subjected to harsh UV Rays everyday. This cream is excellent for me.
